New Spanair Plus Card will have a validity of 16 months.
One month prior to expiry, flights made during the previous 12 months, and should conditions required to maintain level be met, the card will be renewed a further 16 months. Otherwise the new card will be downgraded to the corresponding level (Blue or Silver).
New policy of upgrades and downgrades.
Upgrade processes
Member’s activity will be reviewed monthly, taking into account the previous 12 months. The Spanair Plus Year (1st April to 31st March) condition disappears, therefore a member’s activity status will not be returned to 0 unless no flight has been made in the last 12 months. Upgrade procedure is automatic, i.e. as soon as the member has accrued sufficient points to meet the upgrade conditions (Silver or Gold), the upgrade will be processed.
Downgrade processes
The member who has been downgraded on card expiry will have a 4 month period of grace before the next revision of his activity, i.e. the member may not be upgraded or downgraded during these 4 months. After this time, flights made in the previous 12 months will be revised, and if conditions are met upgrade will be automatic. Otherwise will maintain his/her level until his card expires or meets the upgrade requisites again.
