The U.S. airline Continental Airlines, founded 75 years ago in Texas, is from past October 27th the twenty-fifth company in the Star Alliance, the largest and more prestigious airline alliance in the world, where Spanair is also integrated.
With this integration, Spanair Plus members will benefit especially from a wider choice of flights to the United States, better connections without interruption, and from being able to get and redeem points with this important company.
Continental Airlines, the fifth largest airline in the world, has a fleet of 352 aircraft and operates 283 destinations on five continents (135 domestic), which represents around 3,100 daily flights and an annual average of 64 million passengers. In Europe, the company has a presence at major airports such as Madrid and Barcelona.
