1.- When do I have to be at the airport when I use the Web Check-in Service?

If you travel from Spain with luggage (not hand luggage), please be at the Check-in counter or Drop-off desk at the airport at the latest 40 minutes before departure.

If you travel from outside Spain with luggage (not hand luggage), please be at the Check-in counter or Drop-off desk at the airport at the latest 60 minutes before departure.

If your travel without luggage (only hand luggage), you may go straight to the departing gate up to 20 minutes before departure.

 2.- Can I use the Web Check-in departing from any airport?

This service is available for all flights operated by Spanair or SAS Group departing from Spain, Sweden, Denmark or Ireland. 

3.- Who can use the Web Check-in Service?

All passengers on flights operated by Spanair or SAS Group departing from Spain, Sweden, Denmark or Ireland can use this service.

Exceptions: Passengers with any special request, like a pet on board or in the hold; passengers traveling with infants, passengers with special needs (wheelchair etc.); passengers traveling with Spanair Pass, etc.

4.- Can I check-in several passengers simultaneously?

Yes, you can check-in up to 6 passengers simultaneously, when using the Web Check-in.

5.- What is to be noted, regarding my checked luggage?

  • Always pack your luggage yourself and make sure not to leave it unattended at any time.
  • Never include any unknown items (e.g. gifts) in your luggage.
  • Never check in luggage of strangers on your name.
  • Make sure that your luggage does not contain any electronic or battery-operated devices.
  • Make sure you do not include any dangerous goods in your luggage. More information about dangerous goods 
  • Please read carefully the Luggage Information at the airport.

6.- My reservation can not be found. What can I do?

First of all, please make sure that:
- your flight is departuring in less than 36 hours.
- you have filled in the passenger's name and family name correctly. (no spaces or hyphens, e.g.: LOPEZSANCHEZ)
- you have introduced the reservation number correctly (5 to 6 alphanumeric characters, e.g. VL4HP or MRI8K9).
- you have not upgraded to Avant Class
- you have not included any special requests in your booking  (e.g.: extra seat, Unaccompanied Minor, wheelchair, etc.)
- the reservation has not been changed recently (the data will be updated every 3 hours approximately).

If you still can not find your reservation after having checked these points, please try later or check-in via telephone, Spanair's Express Check-in machines at the airports or at any Spanair Check-in counter. 

7.- Can I use the Web Check-in when I travel with luggage?

Yes, you may also use our Web Check-in Service if you travel with luggage. Please remember to check-in your luggage at the designated Check-in counters or Drop-off stations before you proceed to the departure gate.

 8.- Can I print my Boarding Pass when using the Web Check-in?

Yes, you can print your Boarding Pass when you check-in online. Please remember to always print two copies (one to hand in at the boarding gate and one for yourself).
If you travel with a paper ticket, please remember to hand it in at the gate, together with the boarding pass.
If it is not possible to print the boarding pass at the moment, please try this:
- save the file and try to print it later
- come back to the Web Check-in service later, using your reservation number
- print it at the airport: at the Check-in counter or at the Spanair Ticket Desk
 
9.- Can I go straight to the gate if I check-in online?

If you are departing from Spain, Sweden, Denmark or Ireland with Spanair or SAS Group and you travel without luggage (only hand luggage) you may go straight to the gate up to 20 minutes before departure. 

If you travel from Spain and want to check-in luggage, please be at the Check-in counter or Drop-off station at the airport at the latest 40 minutes prior to departure.

If you travel from outside Spain and want to check-in luggage, please be at the Check-in counter or Drop-off station at the airport at the latest 40 minutes prior to departure.

10.- Can I select and reserve a seat when using the Web Check-in?

Yes, you can select a seat during the Web Check-in process. If you have no preferences, a seat will be assigned automatically.
