General conditions for Spanair's Punctuality Guarantee e-voucher

Spanair's Punctuality Guarantee is only applicable for passengers who have suffered a bigger delay than 15 minutes between the scheduled departure time (shown on the passenger's ticket) and the closing of the doors to the aircraft, but only when the delay is due to the company. Outside reasons that can not be avoided and that are not due to Spanair S.A are excluded. 

The captain decides if the flight is subject to this Punctuality Guarantee, using the time shown on the aircraft's clock which is situated at the control panel.

The Guarantee will not be applicable for the passengers travelling with a ticket bought with points (I/X class), with a free Punctuality Guarantee ticket, travel agency discounts (AD), employees at AENA (ZG, ZE), employees at Spanair or other air companies (ID).


Specific conditions for BUSINESS and AVANT class

1. Always when the conditions are fulfilled, Spanair will give the passengers in Business or Avant an Avant e-voucher. Spanair will give two Avant e-vouchers to passengers on delayed flights to/from the Canary Islands.

The e-voucher is valid for one free direct flight (outbound or inbound) for an optional domestic route with Spanair, departing from/going to the Spanish peninsula or the Balearic Islands. The e-voucher is subject to availability and the passenger can choose travelling class (Business Avant –reservation class I- or Economy –reservation class X-). On non-direct flights it is necessary to use one e-voucher per leg.

To get one free direct flight to/from the Canary Islands you will need two Avant e-vouchers. On non-direct flights it is necessary to use three e-vouchers.

2. The Avant e-voucher is not transferable and will never be refunded. You can not collect points/miles with Spanair's Frequent Flyer programmes. The e-voucher is only valid for redeeming tickets for flights operated by Spanair. There will never be a direct economic compensation.

3. The Avant e-voucher itself is not a ticket you can use for the compensation flight, so you have to redeem it within 65 natural days after the delayed flight.

4. It is always possible to accumulate the Avant e-voucher as long as the time limit mentioned in step 3 has not expired.

5. Redeeming the Avant e-voucher into an issued ticket does not include the airport taxes, which will paid by the passenger. The service fee will not be charged for the Spanair Plus members who redeem their tickets through the web page: www.spanair.com/spanairplus. If they choose to redeem their tickets by phone or at a Spanair Sales Office,  the current service fee will be charged when making the reservation.

6. Specific conditions for reservations made with Avant e-vouchers:

• Redeem e-voucher in X class:
The obtained Economy ticket allows time and date changes and cancellation (without refunding the service fees) until one day before departure (permitted until the same day for Silver and Gold members), as long as the new flight date is within the valid period of 65 days mentioned in step 3.

• Redeem e-voucher in I class:
The obtained Avant ticket allows time and date changes and cancellation with a tax refund until 1 day before the flight departure, as long as the new flight date is within the valid period of 65 days mentioned in step 3.

• In case the passenger wants to use two or more accumulated e-vouchers for one reservation, the valid date for changes in the new reservation will be based on the date from the oldest e-voucher.
• Name changes are not allowed.
• These classes do not accumulate Spanair Plus points.


Specific conditions for ECONOMY+ and ECONOMY class

1. Always when the conditions are fulfilled, Spanair will give the passenger an Economy e-voucher which can be redeemed for a 25% discount on the web tariff and the fuel tax on your next domestic flight within Spain operated by Spanair. The voucher will never be refunded. The voucher is personal and not transferable. There will never be a direct economic compensation.

2. The Economy e-voucher itself is not a ticket you can use for the compensation flight, so you have to redeem it within 65 natural days after the delayed flight.

3. The conditions for changes in the ticket obtained by redeeming an e-voucher will adjust to the conditions for the new ticket, which is issued with a 25% discount.

4. It is not possible to use the Economy e-voucher together with other vouchers, promotions or draw prizes.

5. Issuing a ticket from the discounted voucher does not include airport taxes and the service fee will also be charged. The service fee will always be reduced for Spanair Plus members when redeeming the e-voucher online: www.spanair.com/spanairplus comparing to redeeming the e-voucher by phone or at a Spanair Sales Office.


How to redeem the E-voucher

1.
Spanair will transfer the voucher to all Spanair Plus members´ accounts within approximately five days after the delayed flight. It is not possible to redeem the voucher before 5 days have passed since the delay.

2. The passengers who are not Spanair Plus members and wish to receive a voucher should apply for membership online:  www.spanair.com/spanairplus. Afterwards they should request the Punctuality Guarantee voucher on the same web site by entering the section online services and the option “Points request / Not registered flights”. To do this you need the following information: flight number, departure city, destination, flight date and the ticket number (to have all necessary information we recommend you to save your piece of the boarding pass). Your request will be handle within approximately 5 days.

3. Once you have become a member and the e-voucher has been transferred to your member account you can check your valid vouchers and redeem them through the web: www.spanair.com/spanairplus in the section services online and the option “Punctuality voucher”.

4. If you are not a Spanair Plus member you can also make the reservation by phone (+34) 902 13 14 15 or at our Sales Offices at the airport. In these cases the current service fee will be charged when making the reservation.

5. When redeeming through the web the airport taxes and service fees (if there are any) will be charged to your credit card.
