Can I get the resident discount and the numerous family discount together?
Yes, the numerous family discount is compatible and, where applicable, can be added to the discount established for residents of the Canary and Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, regulated by their corresponding special rules.
Through spanair.com you can book the resident discount and numerous family discount if you are resident on the Canary or Balearic Islands.
Ceuta residents must contact Spanair Center.
The discount for Melilla residents is only applied to flights departing from or landing in Melilla. As Spanair does not fly to Melilla, this discount is not applicable.
How can I book for a numerous family?
Select the corresponding type of discount you are entitled to in our search engine. Select the option “Numerous family 5%” if you belong to this group (up to five children). The “Numerous family 10%” option is for families with five or more children. Check with the Numerous Family Association to find out which group you belong to.
You must show valid numerous family documentation when checking in and prior to boarding. Passengers with issued tickets who cannot prove their numerous family status will not be permitted to fly with those tickets and must purchase new ones for the fare available at that time.
Numerous family documentation
Ministerial Order 3837/2006 by the Ministry of Public Works established the numerous family discount for domestic air fares. Members of families officially recognised as a numerous families benefit from the following discounts on domestic fares:
General category
This category includes families with 2, 3 or 4 children. They are entitled to a 5% discount on domestic air fares.
Special category
This category includes families with 5 children or more. They are entitled to a 10 % discount on domestic air fares.

Important
- This discount is also applied to service fees.
- Spanair does not apply any discounts after the flight.
- All passengers included in the booking must be eligible for the numerous family discount. Any passengers not eligible for the discount must book separately.
- Passengers must provide the relevant proof of their numerous family status issued by the authorities of their autonomous region in accordance with Article 2 of the Regulation of the Law 40/2003 of 18 November for the protection of numerous families. Have the numerous family documentation available as a member of Spanair crew may ask to see it at any time.
