Spanair cargo introduces E-Booking
Booking air cargo shipments will now be even easier with the introduction of this facility
Madrid, January 25th, 2008. - Spanair Cargo implements e-booking for Spanish customers. A password-protected site has been produced which make it possible for customers to book shipments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The facility is first offered in the local Spanish market, but the intention is to open for the functionality worldwide.
“For a long time the market has shown interest for late bookings after office hours and during weekends for urgent shipments”, states Frank Badino, Area Manager Spain for Spanair Cargo. “By introducing online booking, we fulfil this need among our key clients, and we expect it will give higher quality and generate more business on the domestic sectors – especially to the Canary Islands”, he adds.
“With this new site we are able to display and enhance our own networks, services and products exclusively towards our target clients, thus enabling us to build up an increased loyalty around our services. This will strengthen and position Spanair Cargo and SAS Cargo brand as an innovative cargo partner in the local market”, says Marc Sam, Cargo Management Solutions.
With a successful introduction of e-booking, the road towards paperless shipments, e-freight, has started. SAS Cargo is testing e-freight on selected routes these months and a successful test will be a start of implementing e-freight with paperless shipments.
